Python

Python is a programming language less common in website building than PHP, but more often chosen for large projects and for ones where the cost of a mistake is high.

In web development Python is used, like PHP, as an interpreted language.

There is nothing in the Python world quite like WordPress or Drupal — no ready-made content management system with that kind of reach. What there is instead is Django, a powerful framework that takes a great deal of the labour out of building a site in Python.

Python is developed with Google’s backing and is used extensively inside the company.
